check engin soon

my car runs good, has low miles, its had a lot of work done to it especially recently, but this had always happened if i drive for maybe 15 min straight especially on the freeway my check engin light comes on..... ive had my transmisiom serviced not too long ago and everywhere i take it they say nothings wrong with it but i was just wondering if this had happened to anyone else... thanks.

Maf Burnoff Relay? I had the same problem.

Edit: Your TBI. I would scan for the code. I usually use the paperclip trick... Very helpful

There's a plug under your steering wheel, it looks like the end of a computer cable, with little holes to stick a paper clip into.

When mine did that it was the EGR going bad. It won't pass smog but it shouldn't really affect the way it runs.

I know this is a week old. Does the check engine light stay on when you continue to drive then once you shut off the car it goes out? I had this problem and it was a vacuumm problem, one that went to the EGR.

If the check engine light comes on, you can use the paper clip as mentioned above to get the code. The ecm will set a code if the check engine light comes on for more than a few seconds. Until you get the code and post it, all anybody can do is make wild guesses.
