If you are referring to the guy that painted Don's car, as well as some others (Russ, Alex, etc), I believe he closed shop back in 2006.

Re: TJ Paint Job

I dont know where Murua is but up here $300 wont even cover the cost of the paint.
Best to get it painted outside the LA basin due to the more stringent AQMD rules here.
San Diego area is more lienient

Technically the quality of the paint and clear over there could be better since there are really no regulations or guidelines the shops need to follow, unlike here in CA.

The Camaro is sitting with no motor and trans. I have no time.

Re: TJ Paint Job

Save up and get one good paint job, the car will look way better, and it should last you a VERY long time if its well maintained. Just my 2 cents

Well 300 will not even cover materials, unless its Ultra crappy stuff or maybe left over material? A good paint job will cost about 800 bucks in just material. There is no possible way you are getting a good or even okay paint job at that price.

Busy tonight, but I'll probably start going to those meets again once the car is up and going at least. In the meantime I try to make the SC3G meets when possible though, regardless of my 3rd gens state of health lol.

Earl Scheib currently has a $199 special... lol THAT I would not trust. $300 in tijuana goes a long way. That could be 3 months worth of rent for the guy.

On those paint jobs they do zero prep work they just tape and spray Just trying to save you some head ache and have your money go somewhere rather than just be wasted in a few months.
