Junkyard Findings!

Went through the junkyard today to find some taillight wing nut things for the TA. Took my lights off the other day to polish them and 5 of the wing nuts crumbled in my hand as i loosened then.

Decided to go by the Pick-A-Part on Millikin in Ontario. They have a few third gens and even more 4th gens.

Something that i found that was very interesting was an 82-84 Z28 t-top car with the factory fiberglass hood. If i had my truck with me, i would have bought it. It is in PERFECT condition. Not a crack or anyhing on it. If someone wants to go pick it up, you might wanna hurry before some bonehead cracks it!

Other thing i saw was an 84 berlinetta with a VERY wierd dash setup. I snapped a cellphone pic of it and ill upload it in a few minutes. If it is a rare setup ill go back next weekend and pull the dash/center console from it.

Hey,

If you end up going back could you check how much would they sell a driver side fender? And if its a black one its a plus. My car is a 1991 z28 camaro black.

Also if they have any 5 speed tranny lask how much they sell the shifter plate for?
Thanks. Tony.

i bet it was the star wars dash... there was a discussion about it here recently... pretty cool looking but the chances if it being usable are next to nil.

They were all LT1 style cars with v6's in them. Most of them were in decent shape.

I was looking for the exact same thing.

If i would have had my truck with me, i would have brought home a disc brake rear end, a fiberglass hood, and probably some other things that i really dont need lol

Here is a crappy cell phone pic of the dash that was in the 84 Berlinetta...

I believe its like $45 for a fender. I bought one that was PERFECT for my trans am for $45... cant imagine a camaro fender being more expensive..

The shifter plate couldnt cost more than $15 But i didnt see any 5spd cars there, they were all automatic.
