like the tile says how much do you guys think my car is worth..... i really hate the idea of selling it but i really want a black trans am ws6 and i cant have both i can only keep one... soo i guess i have to see it go soon.. this guy from works has been asking me to sell it to him i told 2500 without the vette rims..
here are some things it has so u guys can get an idea on pricing...
1988 v6 5 speed
140k miles
new radiator
new battery
new alternator
new sparkplug wires
new distributor
new ac delco plugs
new re upholstered interior
840 watt stereo system
punch subs
eibach lowering kit
o yea its salvage title... due to the driver side fender and part of the bumper were hit in a little fender bender .. and it cost more to fix it than the car was worth so they salvaged it

I'd say take the 2500 if he is serious, after all it is a V6 and salvage, if it were me i would hate to dump more money into a V6 car that seems is not your ideal car. May i add i hate to see you crossover to the TA side as camaro's look better

i guess 2500 is a good price im gonna loose money on it but i guess its a decent price i really dont want to sell it since it was my first car and all had it for about six years but like you said there is no point putting more money into a v6 .. i was going to do a lt1 swap or something like that but i realized it was just going to be to much money... and right now i need a realiable daily driver... wich my car is reliable the the whole v6 thing is what is killing me.... and i a gree with you camaros do look better than firbirds especialy thirdgens but a 2002 black ws6 look sooo mean..
The Fikse FM 10's on that WS6 are worth way more than the $2,500 you're going to get for your V6. If that's the car you are after believe me, you could do a lot worse...
lots of third gens out there , the take that money and reinvest it into a new f-body V8 project, u wont be disappointed, especially coming from a v6 model
TAKE THE MONEY

to be honest i dont like the rims on that TA.. if it was my choice i would get some black zr1's or some 17x11 torq thrusts..
and what do you mean i can do alot worse? as in the car im going to get or..

On that T/A? Sorry, I was under the impression that the picture you posted was of the WS6 you were actually considering. Those wheels that you don’t like are forged, ultra light, and hella expensive. I ran a set of those on my C4S at Willow Springs with some Hoosiers and I’ll be the first to tell you they completely changed the personality of my car. It’s amazing how eliminating unsprung weight can significantly affect a vehicles performance.
What I meant was that the car in the image was obviously set up by someone in the know. The stance, the wheels/tires, etc. all point to the fact that whoever put that car together knew what they were doing. You can’t just walk into Pep Boys and purchase those wheels. They are purpose oriented and custom built for each specific application. No one would take the time and money to put those on a vehicle that wasn’t highly modified or raced.
If that was indeed the vehicle you were going to give your V6 up for, then in my opinion you would be making a good choice. If that isn’t the actual vehicle you are considering and just a picture you found on the internet somewhere then its just that… a picture of someone elses car.
You’re going to have to tell us a little more about the actual car you are considering in order to get genuine feedback. Motor, interior, modifications, wheels… What does the 4th gen have that your 3rd gen doesn’t aside from a V8 of course…?

ohh ok i understand you know... yea i know the quality of those wheels but they dont flow with the body of that car in my opinion.. and yes that was just a random pic i had saved on my desktop..
and to answer your question on the type of car i will be getting is, i want for my first choice a ws6 i have always liked how they look.. v8 of course and a six speed... one with black exterior and black interior.. with under 80k miles and under 13k on price..
my second choice would be a 01-02 camaro ss must be an ss black or silver with the same power train combination as the trans am..
my third choice and more expensive choice would be a gto... ls2 a must and six speed in brazen orange metallic or impulse blue..
and as far as modifications on the new car i would prefer to get one bone stock..
and what do these cars have over my thirdgen is well the obvious a v8 and reliability.. and that is all that the new car will have over mine i love how my car looks i always get compliments but that's it my car is all show no go .. and the car being 22 yrs old there is no telling how much more money i will have to dump into it.. that's why i want to get a newer low milage 4th gen or gto.. don't get me wrong i have a lot of faith in my car its my daily driver it has never left me stranded or quit on me.. but you know how that saying goes anything that can go wrong will go wrong..
damn that bad.... i seen some junk faded paint tbi camaro's go for 3k just because mine is v6.. yea i should just take the money and run...
Not only the v6 but the salvage title is whats hurting you. Your car looks super clean and if the interior looks as good as the outside then thats awesome. But even if you swapped in a V8 its still a salvaged car.

exactly the salvage tilte is what killed it the car was in a fender bender and the previous owner reported it to the insurance an it got salvaged.. and about the interior on my car is super clean dash pad isnt even cracked it has the vynil door panels and the seats were reupholstered black with blue trim that matches the car... if the car wasnt salvaged i would have dont the v8 swap but its better just to get a another car..
an 01-02 camaro ss was also my first choice when i needed a daily driver, but i figure that 10-12k figure would quickly rise since i highly doubt i could keep a car stock and parts are more expensive. Ultimately i kepted my thirdgen because its something i can wrench on on my spare time and bought a motorcycle. A bike is a great choice for a daliy driver, great gas mileage and maintenance is pretty minimal

yea i would definitely not keep it stock for long...
motorcycle wouldn't do it for me since i would only have one thing a car or a bike... im kinda leaning towards a ls2 gto...
Just like I tell you at work or what ever sell the car and buy a 3rd gen with a 350 and work from that. Pontiacs are hidius for me I'm better off with a 4th gen maro, even though I dont love the look as much as I do on 3rd gens, but hey thats my openion.

Tony.
like i said before and keep saying i dont want a project car i dont want a 20+ year old car with a million problems i want a low mileage reliable car not some bucket 305 camaro that will need tons of money just to keep up with a bone stock ls1 camaro..... i do a agree 3rd gens look sick but thats it unless your cammed heads miniram and all that other stuff they are not fast... maybe later on i will get a thirdgen and buy a clean title iroc and do an ls1 swap but thats later right now i have no time for projects....
