First time at California Speedway in Fontana CA this season. I have a new personal best: 60' 2.394, 330' 6.461, 1/8 9.880 @72.18, 1000' 12.797, 1/4 15.276 @91.12 mph. I had a good matchup against a 86 IROC-Z with a 350 GM economy crate motor, auto and 3.73 gears. We were side by side nearly all the way down the track. He got me by a few feet and I was pulling on him. He got me out of the hole with a .649 vs. my .722 r/t. He has 295 mm width street tires to my 245. But his engine runs out of steam too early, despite more cubes and TPI but a non-roller lousy cam vs. my LT1 cammed 305 TBI engine w/T5 & 3.45 gears. He'll pull ahead with more torque on the start, but I'll catch him at the end. Too bad the track isn't a lil longer. The e/t improver plates I made and tested that day work even on my suspension (which is setup for cornering rather than drag strip use). I'll post those results separately. Lon
