Hey Don

I was able to swap the heads for the correct street version. Thanks but I won't be needing that pipe. However I think that would be something you could market!$$

Theres enough specialists here to make a So Cal 3rd gen specialty parts house. Crazy idea but think about all the cool, crazy, trick stuff we come up with.

Chip burning
exhst (egr,larger y pipes)
lons stuff
MacEwens dash stickers
ram air box (whatever)
I have and idea for a tool that pulls the pins on the tilt column to get to all 4 inverse torx nuts to tighten that infamouse loose wheel syndrom. Maybe silly but does anybody actually make one of those?

Ok just a bunch of :lala: :lala: :lala:

Scoggin Dickey already sells the EGR pipe to go with their Vortec manifold.

Who did you swap your heads with? AFR or a local guy?

I also already made up the tool to fix the loose steering column.

We were able to swap the heads with ARP. We decided to go with the angle plug part# 1021.

You made a "pin puller" thangy already! COOL I wish I would have known that. I had to think about how to do it then search all my bolt bins for stuff to pull those pins.

All that thinking and searchin. It's a rough life!

AFR Heads

Hey, you might want to check and make sure the angle plug heads from them will work with SLP headers, cuz some won't.

I figured since the L98 ARF's are angled then I sould get the 1021's.

I cant remember if my stock heads are angled or not.

Nope, stock SBC heads were not angled (less the aluminum LT/LS types). Maybe the aluminum L98s and some hi-po SBCs and BBCs from the sixties (even that I doubt).

Heads

If they are the same as the L 98 angle then you are alright. I just wanted you to be aware that some are different. Kevin's are the L 98 alum. and they are fine. I had a set of AFR's that did not work with SLP's.

I called AFR and talked to a guy named Mark and he said we can have the heat riser style heads machined for L98 angled plugs.

So I will have part # 1021 machined for L98 angled plugs.
