Best new radiator deals?

I've looked around and so far there isn't anyybody who can make my current rad better.

So now I 'm looking at a new one. Some one said a copper is better since an Al one is very expensive to repair even if it just gets clogged. The cooling capacities and weight differences are not worth the extra $ and the copper one can always be rebuilt by any rab shop.

What are your opinions? Who has an after market rad and what are your experiences?

The universal fit al rads are relatively cheap. What does it take to mod them in?

I would stick with alum. because it cools better than the copper/brass combination.

yeah I hear ya but:

Can you repair al rads for less then a stock replacement?

The specific fits are $475+
The universal are $271 but have a smaller core (1 1/4) to our stock replacement (1 3/8) for $130.

I'll have a new stewart water pump (suppose to keep things cooler) as well.

Yep

The best way to go is a alum for sure. Most likely a stock replacement and a good water pump like some are using. And every thing should be fine. Along with the proper fan an thermo set up. I have had good luck with brand new Modines that I can get for 110 brand new. I yet have not got a better pump, but I do have a brand new one on, an still remain the stock oem in my garage. So summer is coming and it's time to be sure these car's can handle another year of stress an heat.
I found out my Red Roc needs a intake gasket, so soon the lifters an also that need to be done. I am building up my tool box bigger to handle the job, along with doing it in my garage with air. Since labor is so high, and im not that rich
So any ways peace
