2400 stall/700R4

I bought this torque converter off ebay. Here is the link.

eBay Motors: 2400 STALL 700R4-4L60E TORQUE CONVERTER WITH LOCK UP!!! (item 4641403371 end time May-24-06 05:04:57 PDT)

Never ran it, I though my old one was shot put this one in and started my car and the same nose came from the tranny,(ran about 5min). So I pulled it and took my tranny in to get fix and will buy another tc from them to match the rebuild and my specs. So this one is up for grabs. I 'd like atleast $130 for it(I payed 175 total). Would make a nice upgrade over stock. Pickup only so local guys get first shot. If you have Q's please email me or pm. Oh, this one is red and not blue.

Thanks,
Conrad

Another "bump" for ya. If I was going to keep my auto, I'd be on this like a pit-bull on a T-bone...

Another quick "BUMP"...

Quote:
"Street driven cars can benefit by just increasing stall speed enough to get into the "fat" part of the torque curve. Let's say our hypothetical engine makes its 200 lb.-ft. of torque at 1800 rpm (a typical stock stall speed converter). However, at 2500 rpm it produces 300 lb.-ft. of torque. That means this same engine could now put 750 lb.-ft. of torque to the driveshaft for take-off compared to the stock 340 lb.-ft. produced with the OE torque converter. By changing the torque converter you've more than doubled the output torque of the engine!"
From Valvoline.com
Quote:
"Most torque converters today will multiply torque by a ratio of at least 2 to 1. For example, if your motor is making 250 lbs.-ft. of torque and your converter is multiplying it by a factor of two, then the transmission will see 500 lbs.-ft. of torque. This can improve a car or truck's acceleration capability substantially."
This comes from a REALLY good explanation at B&M Racing's site.

At least ya didn't ask if you would help install into a c4 - nightmare!

Glad to see your still around, and you haven't lost your head in the direction of cars.
I just saw mikes 91 on the appearance board and man that is sweet. You should try and talk him down on that bad boy before someone else scoops it up. I know that it is little more than you intended on spending, but its clean and alreadly has a supercharger!!

- You can still put this stall in there and make it even better!

I only have 4500 tops.

I already talked to Mike, and I don't think he will go down that low.

Otherwise I'll be all over it.

Conrad,
Sorry man, I am just trying to choose wisely, and not get f-ed over like I did with my Bird.

I'll have a ride, and it will be a third gen.
