Actually sold it to her brother. Cool guy, his first car. I took care of everything that was wrong with that car for him. So basically he's got a pertty good machine. You know how it is. If its giving you problems and you fix it, its usually taken way too much of your time and you want it gone. Thats how I felt.
Now, I got the 92 convertible and its got a knock/rattle that has me worried.
I hope I don't need a new engine

lol, 1) dont worry sasa, im sure it ain't no rod knock
2) if it is, big deal, small block chebbys are the cheapest made motor known to man, it's not like you couldn't get a long block 350 and throw your tpi on it.

Its the f'n flywheel (flexplate for the anal people).
Listened to it with mechanics stethoscope, flexplate goes Tick tick,(give it gas) and its trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Can barely hear it idling, but with the stethoscope the little bitch squealed.

Right now my car is cooling down for me so I can go under and tighten things. Also, I smell fuel somewhere under the hood. So I am working on that as well. Like I started it after 5 hours at work and the gas gauge had diped lower then what I left it at in the morning. So, I must find this leak immidiately unless I want to pay outrageous amounts of money for gas!

So you put the scope on the plastic flywheel cover??? You can't put a scope on a moving flexplate, (Yes I'm anal-call it what it is dam it) With out looking it could also be the TC or the front pump.

I figured it was the flexplate just because it goes away after its warm. Just like my other one.
It could the the Torque converter, or the pump, but the sounds is more like something hitting sheetmetal almost rattleing which sounds like the flexplate.

THe TQ is almost new! I have a receipt for it. So, I am very certain that its the flexplate.
