mike here, just seeing how everyone is. man im pissed that i missed the estes run, but with not having my licence and all, it's just hard to make it. i WOULD have jason drive, but he's been pissing me off with the way he treats my cars. hell, he blew the motor in the t/a (would have happened anyway, but he was hard on it the night it happened) and now he's bitch driving the new car too, so i don't think he'll be driving my **** for awhile.
trust me, even with my new car, i swing by TGO regularly and get a smile on my face everytime i see a post for a new meeting. good news though, i get me licence back OCT 11th!!!!!!! so yeah, i can't wait.
as far as my NEW car, well, here's a link with a bunch of pics. i have the black car, the blue one is a friend of mine, but tell me what you think. it's an 86 LX notchback with 73k. mods include 3:73's, thunderbird turbo-coupe rearend which switches everything over to 4 wheel disc, offroad h-pipe, and a few other small things (stainless stell brake hoses, dynomax mufflers...etc). so let me know what you guys think.
lol trust me, i loved the t/a a lot more then one might have thought, it was such a sick-*** car (espicially with the charger), it just wasn't my cup of tea.
now i know i can't be in the group anymore, but i'd still like to hang around and think of myself as one, so definetly dont count me out.
Hey good to see you are alive! Conrad made a post asking about Mike and I just assumed it was you! I also assumed right that you bought up a new pony, wow what a guess! Glad to hear that you are getting your license back so you can drive your car.
As far as the new find goes, other than the obvious fire related modifications. The first thing I would do is get some black oxide paint and cover up the dated chrome trim. Other than that it looks pretty straight.

I dont want to sound like I'm preaching to anyone but I need to say it.
1) That coupe is a VERY RARE CAR.
2) That coupe is one sweet ride and the wheels are super rare and hard to find.
3) It also has upgraded front brakes. The Prev owner upgraded them from the stock 10inch crappers to the 87-93 11 inch brakes. He may also have installed the 73mm calipers and if not I would.
4) Please check out Four Eyed Pride - The Site for 79-86 Mustangs and Capris
5) Please take good care of that car and no 87-93 front end swaps. That car deserves to keep its identity as a 86 coupe. Trust me that car is only going to go up in value in the future. It is a 86 so the last of the square light cars and the first of the SEFI EFI and one of only 1500 or so 86 coupes ever made.
Anyway SWEET purchase and if you need any help with the car give me a holler.
BTW what did you pay for it? At one time he was asking 6800 for it which was probably a good price but to expensive for my tastes.

lol sweet man, you know jeremy... yeah he's a very good friend of mine. lol and don't worry about any aero conversions, im definetly aware of whats on my plate right now. and you nailed it on the head too man, all aero brakes up front (including the lincoln calipers) and i think spindles too, since you have to convert the spindles to go aero on the brakes. but yeah, im really happy with it, it just sucks i can't drive it. but oh well, now i'll have something nice when i DO get it back. oh and yeah, im already a member of foureyedpride, i registered when i got my 85 twister II a year or two ago.
hey be nice now 19rs92 lol. Anyways thats a nice looking stang you got there. But yeah i hate it when people treat other peoples cars like crap. My friends do that all the time seriously when they borrow thier parents cars they drive them like crap i.e hitting speed bumps too hard or trying to do a burnout in a bonneville.

I was thinking of adding another FWD dodge turbo car to the stable. I think a red/silver Dodge shelby charger turbo car would look good next to my 91 camaro and 86 Saleen mustang.

actually traded the mootang for it and gave the kid $500 after the engine was confirmed as toast. but upon further inspection, we think it might just be some REALLY bad valve seals, i mean, before the charger, i'd get some smoke on cold starts every once and awhile (valve seals) and after putting the charger on, it smoked more right. well after putting 15W40 in it without any changes, we were kinda leaning to the fact that the valve seals might have just took a dump. my so i dunno, i think my buddie's gonna try the valve seals first and then go for the motor. he's selling it too. i don't know how much though, he just traded me because he wanted something a little different. lol oh and that nice shiny blower

I had a bunch of older musclecars but they where just that older beat up cars that you could buy for 500 bones. All of the rich kids where sporting 5.0s, Irocs, T/As, Jeep Cjs and the Daytona/Laser twins.
