"Try" to get into Pinks? How about #91?
I posted on the Organized Racing forum about those exploits. The registration opened at 9 a.m. on the 1st - supposedly. I checked the site at 8:45, it let me click in and sign up, so I did (I had a 9 o'clock meeting, so I wanted to be ready as soon as it opened so I wouldn't be too late to the meeting - I actually got to the meeting before is started). I know a few other people that got in. Apparently, there is a group of about 17 guys that run between 9.7 & 9.9 that got signed up. I'm sure the deck is stacked against me, but hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I still need to find a way to get below 12.99 at altitude, but I think I'll have it figured out by then. Maybe I'll make it on TV just for being weird. One friend said he got crew tickets for his 19 year old twin daughters and a couple of their friends - figured eye candy wouldn't hurt his chances of some air time. . . |

I have 4 friends from up here that got in as well, so I will be down there cheering you guys on. I heard from Jeff Sipes that they are expecting the spectator seating to sell out before gates open, and draw a total crowd larger than Mile High Nats.!!! Crazy if they can pull that off!

But, if it's giving me issues, I'll consider the LS1 Camaro (assuming it's up and running)
I just got my knee scoped this morning, the going-in story was the possibility of keeping me off my feet for 6 weeks. As it turned out, it wasn't as bad as they thought from the MRI, so I should be back in the garage soon. Whew!
Last night I signed up for Street ET, Run Tuff, Club Clash Top Street, and Stick Shift. I know, just a glutton for punishment. . . |
