Black Hills, South Dakota

Any TGO folks close to Rapid City, South Dakota? Figured I'd post here since the Midwest region seems to be based out of Chi-town. That's a helluva a lot further than Nebraska, Wyoming or Colorado.

Re: Black Hills, South Dakota

To be honest with ya our reginal board here is pretty slow, and I have never seen any SD members post up here.

Black Hills is a pretty amazing area, and cannot wait to get back up there for a visit. What is the name of that BIG car show in downtown that they have every year? I have been wanting to drag my car up there.

No kiddin'! You're more than welcome here. About 6-7 hours from the Denver metro area.

Are you talking about the Counts Car Show? I'm not originally from SD, moved here from Northern Minnesota.

The Regional forum descriptions don't include the Dakotas. I suppose you on the west side are closer to "Rockies", while the easterners more mid-West. "Tweeners", you could say.

At any rate, you're welcome wherever you're the most comfortable. It's true the forum doesn't get a whole lot of traffic, but I don't want to prater on just to make it look like it does. Feel free to bring up things of regional interest!

BTW, my older brother lives in northwest Nebraska, just a little over 2 hours from Rapid City. I don't know if I'll make it up there all that often (was up there two weeks ago for the first time), but at least there is a little bit of a connection for me.

Rapid City! Hell I'll be going there this summer to visit family. I won't be in the GTA though. The 2.2l sunfire gets WAY better gas mileage.
