Hey I just got mine in the mail and I have the door panel all taken apart but do I have to drill out the old rivet holding the old one in and put in a new rivet?

HI, Yes if it's rivited into place you would need to drill out the rivits, and then rivit or bolt the new one into place.
Hey Tony-I got a generic outer door handle. I think I stripped the plastic posts the self-tapping nuts thread on to. B4 I take it all apart, how do you thik I can "fix" it? The handle has alot of movement to it.
Also, is there a specific way the rods attach? I didn't pay attention to how they go back on-- I just "did it".
The keys don't work in the locks now BUT they did for a few times! Both doors are the same problems!!
If you can help, that would be GREAT!! Thanks for your support @ TGO!!
If you replace the stripped plastic tabs, would that resolve the issue? We do carry the correct ones for your car if they become to much of a headache for you.
I was going to try smaller self-threading nuts. But if that doesn't work I'll be going to you for new outers.
The rod thing has me thinking I did it wrong -of course- so I have to see how each side goes on CORRECTLY!
Thanx Tony
Like I said b4--customer service that goes above & beyond........
Since you are listing them as 'Camaro' handles, what makes them different from the Firebird handles?
There's no difference Stephen. Alot of these parts interchange between plateforms, but if I don't list things specific to vehicle people get confused, and we want to make sure our customers get the correct part too.

No problem. I was just made aware Dan's on vaca this week. What I always try to do is if I'm working on two things like this on a vehicle leave one side assembled, then if you forget how it came apart you can go over and see how it goes together.
