Is there a way to check the calipers??

I'm getting ready to buy a 9 bolt rear and the guy i'm getting it from said he's not sure about the brake calipers. He's parting out the car and the guy he got it from said the car had no brakes. The fact that the front rotors were shot is most likely the reason for this, but i want to check the rear calipers out b4 i get it. Is there a way to check 'em out without installing the rear?

without taking them apart i don't think so. you could push the piston in and see if it's stuck or not, but other than that i don't know of anything. i ithnk if it were me i'd just figure on having to replace them if they've been sitting for very long.
