Hotchkins Lowering Springs & Suspension

i have most recently replaced the front springs (hotchkins), ball joints(Moog), sway bar links(Energy), and LCA bushings(Energy) amoung other things. i also replaced the rear LCA's, springs, and panhard bar w/the hotchkins kit. the front end sits nice and low. the rear on the other hand sits at stock height. i even removed the spring isolators and still sat too high. so i put them back in. i don't know what to do??? i made sure that springs were in right. i even tried putting them in every different way and still no dice. what the hell i'm i doing wrong? can someone help??

Did you tighten all the suspension bolts while the rear was in the air/hanging?You have to snug up all the bolts and then set the rear on ramps to have it under load before you finish tightening up all the bolts. That's about all I can think about.

that what i did at first..... torque the bolts while the rear was hanging. so i came back loosened and re-torqued it with the rear on ramps. still the same i thought that would have done it for sure.

First off.....HOTCHKIS not HOTCHKINS.

Anyways, mine sits fine with the same parts. Did you ensure the springs are in the spring pockets at the top? If not, the car will sit high. When I did mine I had to jack a little, re-align springs, jack some more, etc.....otherwise they lened to the side and got hung up on the locating bump in the middle. Might want to check that.

believe me i looked at that very carefully. i did have to re-align the springs a few times as i jacked up the rear. as for how it's spelled i really don't care right now... maybe when everything is a-ok i will. thanks for the suggestion though.

i have them on my 89'. the same springs, rear kit, and they sit even on that car. i dunno why it's not working on my 88'.

what about the sway bar bushings? it looks like they are a little "stressed" in their current postion. maybe that's what's holding the car up high????? i dunno just throwing out ideas here.

Mine fit fine. The back lowered 1.5" compared to the WS6 springs I had. Check the p/n on the springs and make sure they are the correct ones.
