Thnaks for the reply John. I did not want to bash Jason's product. I know it has worked fine for many (hence why I posted what I did above about that fact- and you confirmed). Its just my personal experience was a problem. It could just be car specific meaning that tthe steering box mounts and the steering shaft mounts may line up better on some cars than others. I may have a bad aligned steering system or the box may be bolted on downward, etc... Who knows. You may want to try to loosen and retighten the steering column and the steering box after install if you do result in a bind feeling in the rotation at any point. I never tried this to be honest.
After replacing this rag joint with this solid disc, I noticed right away how terrible my factory steering box was and how the cushion of the original rag joint had taken the hard spot out of the box. I replaced the box, and noticed I still had a hard spot in the rotation- thats when I relized the dic was causing th ehard spot. The new box was needed though because I had lots of slop and then a hard spot (after box replacement I was left with no slop and still the hard spot. I then opted for the Flaming river setup and the hard spot was gone- I wrote it off as the solid disc being the culprit of a bind spot.
On a side note: THe AGR box I replaced my original one with is crap. THe valving is a tad low and you have to exert a bit more force/effort to turn the car. After having it in there now for about 3-4 months, I have already developed a small bit of slop again. It was firm at first with absolutely no slop, now its a tad esier to turn but has developed a tad of slop already- I recommend staying away from AGR This was a topoof the line box I bought through Summit Racing. I am going with a Lee box next and then ship this AGR to Lee for inspection and rebuild for my truck.

ANd a pic of the Flaming River parts I paid about $260 for and are already rusting. I will pull them out and paint them. Disappointing, you would think they would make things out of stainless steel for that price. Looked nice when it went in.
