87 trans am ws6 stock sway bar size? same as 1le or smaller? - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

ive got ant 87 ta with ws6 ,what size are stock sway bars? are 1le bigger? is it worth the swap?

ws6 should be 36mm up front and 24 mm in the rear, thats a real nice combo.

i havent heard of 1LE's being bigger.

Yea, MDformula has it right. It is the same as the 1LE.

Yep. According to what I've been able to find out, actually Firebirds had the so-called 1LE bars first, 1986-92. Camaros didn't come around until 1989-92 (some models of both types of cars).

yes the sway bars are the same, but the 1le cars had stiffer springs that the ws6 cars.

Yep.....true..and it took me frickin forever to find a ws6 firebird to snag those nice sway bars. Yum.

thanks for your replys i wasnt sure i couldnt imagine they had any bigger than ws6!
