Of course with the technology and parts availability, this could be possible, but at a 7 figure price tag. So, in all reality, it would be just as feasable to buy a Fararri Enzo. But what's the fun in that?

Re: The "ultimate" fbody?.. just dreaming

LOL I had to dig to find this thread!

84 T/A T-Tops (Loaded, Air, cruise, Power everything)
4th Gen leather interior (Front seats are really all I want)
Leather trim will be black with gold stiching and a gold firebird emblem with black stiching embroidered on the front seats. Wrap the rear in leather.
87 GTA Front and rear bumper and spoiler
LS7 427 with Drive on Demand. 500hp AND 30mpg!
Richmond 6-speed turning a 12bolt Strange Rear end/axle assembly and 3.73 gears
14" baer six caliper brakes W slotted and vented rotors
17" Aero Iforged Wheels (Black with chrome lip)
Upgrade to all Poly bushings, Hotchkiss suspension
Paint...either triple black or a sweet sunset metallic orange (I love both)

Yeah..I think that would do it!

Re: The "ultimate" fbody?.. just dreaming

this one's going to get some hate but here's a possibly fresh idea, i couldnt read all the posts before i posted. hah.

88 iroc body, in that yellow you don't see every day, some plain lookin 17 inch wheels.

sparco seats, stripped seam welded interior all painted, autometer gauges two seats and a dash, plus an e brake. thats it.

NISSAN RB26 motor, 2.6 liters rated at 270 hp i believe, but closer to 330 stock, capable of over 1000hp. but for my "dream" keep it at about 400 hp, with a kansas flat torque curve. not going into details here, but a responsive motor that can actually launch on street tires that revs to 7000 rpm. iMOP the sweetest sounding motor ive ever heard, specially bouncing off the rev limiter like a pissed dragon

t56 trans, silvia IRS with 300zx diff, c6 brakes, tubulat subframe, coilovers.

oh and a tire sponsor so i can go drift all day.

right now id settle for a manual.

Re: The "ultimate" fbody?.. just dreaming

I'm going to update mine since this is an old post.I would take my current car, but install a full aluminum version of the TTA motor and a 6l80E with paddleshifters- But I had better rework the rearend to fit 11" BBS 2pc racing wheels to control the bumpshift chirps on a roadcourse. this car would be deadly with a more powerful lightweight powerplant.
This dream car would still run the ranks of being 98% f-body related(of styled) parts- only the trans would be different being a 6l80E rather than the 4l80E in the 4th gens.
After all, Its not a dream F-body if you start putting other manufacturer parts into it like 300zxparts and such.
My car has an obtainable future with about 15K more to go into it to realize this dream- An there ain't nothing that is going to touch it in a triathalon type race of Roadcourse, Drag, & Slaholm combined. Anybody got 15K more to loan me? We could make some bank on that investment sponsorship.

Re: The "ultimate" fbody?.. just dreaming

My 92 GTA with the following:

1996 C4 Dana IRS
GM L92 with VVT & DOD pushed to 455ci (455 because of the SD455 old school thing)
GM 6L80E 6-spd auto with paddle shifters fabbed up somehow
Firehawk Ronal wheels painted to match and widened to match ZR1 rim width
All the suspension mods possible

Keep the outside 100% stock, except for the Ronal wheels, and restore the stock interior to 110% of factory new. Of course a new paint job in the factory color I already have
