1984 Camaro rear shock upper mount broke

The upper shock mount on my friends Camaro pulled through, so he has a big hole where the shock is supposed to mount. Is there any replacement piece he can get to have welded in, or will he have to take it to a welder and have them fab up a piece to weld in?

He will have to have it welded. Sorry, there is no other way around that one.

you could cut the piece from a donor car and weld in but i'd bet it's more work than just patching in a piece of metal and welding.
