Another torque arm question...

I searched through some posts and found alittle info.

My question is regards to the torque arms that do not mount the tranny or the crossmember. It appear it is shorter and is somehow tied into the frame. Are these types good or bad for street driving?

They are supposed to give more traction. heres a theory, holding a 8 foot 2x4, and lift up with one arm, and keep it straight, then get a 4 foot piece and do the same. which is gonna be easier to lift? The 4 foot. Thats kinda the way the short torque arms work, the short one lifts the body more, therefor puttin more weight on the rear wheels, and giving you more traction.

Do a search on this, its been talked bout before. some say it affects your breaking tho.
