| Just to clear things up first, are you saying the wheels wobble in and out about 2" when this happens? Or is the steering wheel turning? There's a huge difference.
If both wheels up front wobble, something is definitely broken in the steering linkages. If only one wheel wobbles, it could be anything from loose lugnuts to failed wheel bearings to a broken spindle (doubt it's that last one). If the steering moves, as in the steering wheel and wheels move as one, it's bump-steer. This is common on lowered cars without a properly corrected suspension geometry. It could also happen if your springs are old and sagging.
