26x10.5x15 ET streets on 15x7 rim?

Will they fit, and if they do will they hook considerably worse:

26x10.5x15 ET streets on a 15x7 rim? Pics?

I'm picking up some ET streets locally tommorrow for $125 that sound to be in great shape. I've got a friend with some aftermarket 15x7 rims that he wants to get rid of. I'm thinking I should save up to buy some welds or ture track tire, but if these will work on 15x7's I probably won't bother until i can afford some skinnies to match.

bueller? bueller?

For future reference... A couple people on a local board (www.ksfba.org) think they'll fit fine on a 15x7 rim, one of the guys will be in the 8's if he can quit breaking nodular 9 inches'... the other has a solid low 11 second ls1 car and a low 10 second blow lt1, so I trust their opinions.

Anybody else got opinions or pics? I guess i will soon enough. :lala:

I been running 26\8.5 ET slicks on the factory 15/7 rim...they hook and fit fine...1.73 60 ft...I would not put a ten inch tire on a seven inch rim...

There is a mustang guy up here who has a 28x10.5 on a 15x7 Mustang 10-hole wheel for his Mustang.

It seems to work fine, but I'm not sure how the sidewall would bulge or if the tread would cup being a shorter tire.

If it were me, I'd do it. You'll probably have to play with tire pressure and do some burnouts to see where you've got the best contact patch though.

Thanks for the reply's. I think they're going to be fine. 10.5 is the section width, not the contact patch.

Thats good to hear, according to jegs the 26x10.5x15 (ET streets) have a 8.3" contact patch, your 25x8.5x15" et drags have a 10.2" section and a 8.2" tread so they should fit very similarly. I'm not sure why the ET drags are listed with tread width while the et streets are listed in section width.

Now I juat have to wait until spring to try them out
