Rack and Pinion Conversion
A guy I know is parting out a 1997 Trans Am WS6 and it has a rack and pinion setup on it.
Basically I was wondering I can use that on my 1992 Camaro RS. I was planning on converting to a tubular k-member and tubular a-arms when I put the LT1 in this spring.
I've seen a rack and pinion setup on ebay for 82-92 camaros, but what will I need to make this one work, if possible?

This topic comes up just about every week. Do a search. I think this is the last thread dealing with it here, Anyone tried putting a 4th gen rack and pinion steering system on a 3rd gen? . Actually that thread was unearthed from the dead recently. It was four years old! I would PM some members that have done the conversion.
I happen to like recircualting ball setups as many rack-and-pinion steering systems have to much power assist and not enough road feel.
