I just e-mailed them and got a call back.
I talked to Brian and he said that they're height adjustable off the strut tower with aluminum spacers and that the plate itself is 5/16" mild steel. He also said that they've changed their bearing design from what is pictured. It's actually 4 bolts holding it now to keep it more rigid.
They based the design off their Mustang parts when they saw the need for F-body pieces. He said they've got a few guys using them on Camaro-Mustang Challenege cars so I'd say they must be pretty darn strong to withstand the abuse those guys put them through.
Thanks for posting the link, I've been half-*** looking for a pair and this price is killer. I asked if they had a racer price and he said the ebay price is a lot better then what they usually go for which is ~$180. He also said that he's not sure if they'll be relisted on ebay since the response hasn't been as good as they hoped.
Not sure about anyone else, but I'm going to pick up a pair.

Hot-part.com is the vendor.
I ended up having a small problem with them but the owner did offer to take a look. I had to store the car before I could take pictures.
The problem is that the driver's side plate hits the master cylinder at over -.5* camber if you run both spacers on top of the strut tower. Moving one spacer under the strut tower fixed the clearance issue.
The customer service was great though. I'm confident that I'll find out what I'm doing wrong or a fix when I pull the car out in the spring.

Yep that we did.. BUt when the struts go in I am going to figure out what size spacers you'll need to get the proper strut travel.

I've been running these on my CMC car. Great quality and zero problems. Kudos to Brian and everyone at Hotpart.com!
