Tire size on RS wheels

I have a 1991 RS with 16" wheels. It came factory with 235/55/16 tires on it. Would a 245/50/16 be to much? anyone have pictures? This size would be for all 4 tires.

As far as I know 245/50/16 is the factory tire size for 16" wheels. Some people run 245/50/16 fronts, 255/50/16 rears. Depends if you plan to rotate the tires or not. If you want to see pics, check out this link to pics of my IROC on stock 16's with 245/50/16 Potenza RE730's on all 4.

The sticker on my door says 235/55/16. Tire rack also shows optional sizes for a 91 camaro.

235/55/16 is stock for RS i think the 245/50/16 was stock for the Z28, used the same rims, should be fine.

I do have a question, would a 255 tire work on the rear? or is it to wide for the stock rims?
