Factory spring ride height

How much sag will the factory springs have now verses when they came from the factory. In other words, will the car be lifted any if I replace the original springs with the Spohn Moog IROC Replacement Spring Set?
The reason I want to know if the car currently rides lower than stock, then lowering springs may not be as bad as I thought.

yes the car will more than likely be lifted. Drop springs arn't that bad just be careful on steep drive ways and speed bumps.

So, getting the one inch lowering springs wouldn't be the complete inch?

Not from the height it is at right now. It is one inch lower than the original factory ride height which very well could be the height your car is at now.

also most aftermarket springs are stiffer, actually giving you an advantage when hitting potholes and dips you're less likely to bottom out or scrape

Alright just the stuff I was looking for!!!!!!!!
My 89 GTA sits 27 1/2" in the front and 27 1/4" in the back..... (That's from the ground to the center of the wheel well)
I'm sure that mine is sagging too and I could use the room for an exhaust job I did........... Pulled up beside a trans am that was a couple of inces taller than mine. Anyways I was thinkin that I could go with new factory springs or lowered ones with stiffer rates.....????
So anyone with new springs out there know factory height?

I was in the same boat as you about 8 months ago... OEM springs are about $100, versus lowering springs from $100-300. Well I just mentioned in another thread, but I purchased brand new Sportlines from the classifieds for $200 shipped. They lowered my car about an inch from what it was at (little sagging from stock springs). I couldn't be happier. I love them and the cornering is so much better and responsive (I also redid my struts/shocks at the same time too).

I strongly recommend the ProKit or Sportlines from Eibach. The Sportlines aren't terribly low that you can't go over speed bumps, however they're low enough for that aggressive stance.

Food for thought- lowering springs are physically shorter, therefore easier to install because you don't have to pre-compress them. Took about 20 minutes per corner after I fought with a little bit.

I was hoping that someone with new factory springs or lowered kits could measure their rides so that I could make an informed decision...... Like I stated earlier my front fender sits 27 1/2" off the ground at the center of the wheelwell and the back 27 1/4" my roofline is 49 1/2" at the highest point..... I figure that my springs are saggin but I'd like to know by how much. If I can get away with lower than factory springs I'll do it, but they gotta be stiffer cause my exhaust sits low..... I'll post a pic to give you an idea of what I'm talking about. (Keep in mind that the car sits on 245/45/16's) I think that new factory springs will leave too much room in the wheelwell???!!!

Thanks guys....... i did a little more investigating and it looks like mine is sitting at factory hieght 27 1/2 inches or so.
At least I know that my springs are not sagging...... it looks like I'll have to make a different transmission crossmember to tuck my Y-pipe up before I can put different springs in it
Thanks once again to everyone that helped out!
