I have just finished the install on my car sfc and lift bars. The umi sfc went on ok just had to clearence a good bit for the SLP Y pipe and the p-side Y brace will have to be changed for my set up. The lift bars I modified to use a short single adj LCA in place of the double pipe Lakewood uses. Give me a email and I will send you a link to look at it and some pictures of mine. They will stiffen up the rear a good bit and you will lose some ride Q. Performance wise I can only tell you the tires plant a lot harder now.

so in your opinion the lift bars are worth it to have, can you spin your tires from a dead stop when you just nail it or does it barely make em bark

I have Lakewood's Lift Bars and I can plant my slicks with no problem. I didn't notice that much of a difference with street tires as I did with my slicks.

I am running a set of M/T sp 26/9.5, they are about 5 years old but done fine with the stock motor. With this motor I could spin them at will as long as I didn't heat them up. The lift bars cut it down a good bit. I am putting on a set of the 255/50/16 M/T DRs this week and I hope the fresh rubber gets me to the ground. Over all the lift bar cost over regular LCAs is worth it.

link to the changes I coppied x I still use my tq arm

ok at the risk of sounding stupid , but , if you install these lakewood lift bars , can you delete your torque arm without consequences ??? I once heard a guy claim that he used southside machine lift bars (SSM went out of business, I believe the Lakewood's are kind of copies of the SSM ones) and didnt need the torque arm anymore ??? is that true ??? thanks for your thoughts

Send a message via AIM to Shagwell
the SSM bars are basically non-adjustable ladder bars. Way different from the lakewodd "traction action" things. - Read the other post on this board about them. Do a search. You'll find plenty of reasons not to waste your money...
