I hope this isnt bad...

I just realized that my front left wheel and control arm sit back closer towards the rear of the car than the right side. When I cut the wheel all the way left it rubs a little on the fender well, the right side dose not.

The tires have even wear and the car drives perfectly straight, so whats the problem?

well.. I have an 84 berlinetta that the passenger tire sits a little further back than the driver's side.. It sits like that because the tire was wedged against one of the steal steaks in the ground with the car trying to move forward (stupid shifter cable broke when it was in drive and I did not know till i let off the brake). I pushed the assmbly back about an anch or so, and took the alignment and messed it good ( they had to set that tire 1.5 degrees different than the other in order for it to steer straight..) So it is possible that something similar happened with your at some point if you are not the original owner.. Could have also hit a curb and done similar damage to that wheel assemble (a -arm, and the like)

Actually that front left wheel has a nice curb scrape on it. Mabey someone did hit something hard on the left side and it just pushed everythign back half an inch. The car drives perfect so I dont think Im gonna touch it. Every time I do something else goes wrong

yea. not much to worry about... it is just a little odd when they align it because they can not set it to factory spec is all.. definitely not something to worry about if you are going to go with a full tubular k-member someday with tubular a - arms and such. Does not hurt anything though except your turning radius to one side (obviously because it rubs)
