What do some of you other guys do? I have to take my car in for alignment tommaro should i tell him the high performance street specs or just have him align it "the regular way"
Is this all just a matter of how long my tires will last?

A couple of years ago I had the alignment shop use autocross alignment specs on my car. I got these specs from a 82-92 performance book (with red z28 on cover). I felt like this did a great job with handling, but I did not think that the reason why I had the car aligned was because I just lowered it. I recently had the car aligned again, and had them do the "norm", it is so much better than previous. I would recommend a standard alignment unless you really need it.
BADNBLCK, what were the Autocross settings that you had that you didn't like? I was thinking about going with this for an Alignment...I thought it would be a little more aggeessive on the street...
When I had the autocross settings it felt improved, but I think the improvement I was really feeling was the lowering springs, not the alignment. After getting it straight with factory settings the steering felt more responsive and less tendancy to pull on smooth roads, and even less pull from ruts in the pavement. My car would follow the ruts in roads badly I though mainly from the 275x17s on the front, but it is now improved with factory alignment. As far as what the setting were, I would have to pull out that book and get them for you to compare. I will try and do that for you tonight after work.
