Traction question

I am alwais changing my mind wich wheels and tires I should choose (on my 1986 TA).

I have an OEM 16 inch and my original plans was to put 245/50R16 on it.

I have also been thinking of Ronal R15 with eather 275/40R17 or something bigger if it fits.

So my questions are:

1) How wide tires can I use at back with Ronal R15?
2) Wich will give me better traction, 245/50R16 or 275/40R17?

Thanks, Jon H.

Re: Traction question

Hi Jimmy, I had 255/60R15 on my TA and liked it alot, but now I want bigger wheels. You am sure you get good traction with those 275s

I am worried that I will have a huge traction problems with my ZZ383 (425 hp/460 ft lb) if I will only have 245/50R16 and am trying to figure out wich way to go.

Sometimes I want to buy the Ronal R15 but sometimes I think its a waist of money (and I have put a lot of money in this car) and I should stick with my wheels. But if those could solve some of my traction problems I might do it.

And Jimmy, nice TA you got
