4th and 3rd gens have some things in common. As far af I know that all of the rear suspension pars will swap but the front suspension on a 4th gen is more of a coilover setup while our struts and springs are seperate.
It would be interesting to see if anyone has adapted the 4th gen front suspension over.
I'm interested as well. I'm buying a 4th gen rear end, and if the parts are better I"ll take the suspension too. The car is a 95 Firebird Formula, with the LT1 and the 4L60. My car is a 91 RS, 305 TBI with a WCT5. What parts should I grab?
4th gen front springs are way different. The front suspension is not even close to being the same. No they will not work for the front. The rear suspension in 3rd and 4th gens is pretty much the same.

Define "better." Depending on the year of the car, WS6 springs could be base V8 springs (114-pound spring rates), 1LE (130-180 pound, progressive), or SLP Level 1 (97-136 pound, progressive) or Level 2 (115-185 progressive). Those rates are for the rear springs. Whether or not the 4th gen suspension would be "better" depends a lot on what's already on the back of your car.

In my opinion... stick with 3rd gen rear springs. You can use EVERYTHING else from the 4th gen though. Even all the hardware. You wont see any amount of improvement to justify swapping to 4th gen rear springs..again...in my opinion.
And as everyone else said...no go on the front stuff. Nothing will swap.
