whos running air shocks?

The back of my ride could use a lift I was thinking of getting some air shocks and was wondering whos got em and what they think of them. Whats a good brand? How do they perform? I may go from my stock 16" iroc rims and 245/50 tires to some radial ta white letter 235/60 and 275/60 on 15x8 outlaw 2s. Bigger tire in the back should help too.

Re: whos running air shocks?

Air shocks aren't a good way to lift up the car. I'm pretty sure there are stories on here of them punching through the shock mounts. A new set of springs might provide the lift you want if your springs are old and sagging. There are measurements of how high these cars sit after a new set of springs, so you might want to measure how high your car is now and consider replacing the springs.

Re: whos running air shocks?

they work great I have had the same set in both my Camaros and haven't ever had a problem, but I also don't put them anywhere near 125Psi (there max limit). I just keep them at a normal ride height. As far as I know theres only one brand the sells them for our cars and now they come in Black

but new shocks are not the answer for bad springs

My springs aren't bad I just want a *little* lift, i wouldn't be pushing them anywhere near max psi. What brand do u have and how much do they run??

Gabriel Hi Jackers......61.99 at autozone (sold in pairs)

just be careful when running the air line not to pinch it or get it too close to the exhaust. I know thats obvious but just a couple tips
