Just wondering if most of the napas still carry moog front steering parts like the idler arm, ball joints, etc. Most of or all of them aren't open around here on sunday(today) otherwise I would just call them.
I'm not asking if the napa brand is moog but if they actually have moog parts in boxes that have "moog" printed on them so you know 100% you have a moog part.
Moog is basically the only supplier for front end parts anyway. no matter where you go you're pretty safe about receiving moog parts.
Yes, Napa house brand parts are moog. Lets face it, what's the alternative anyway? Moog is the trusty "vanilla" of front ends parts - they're always there for us when we need it. Nothing special or great, just not "bad" either.

No they have NAPA box's, and you may or may not get a Moog part inside. If you want to be sure you are buying Moog parts, then order them. I found rockauto.com has real nice prices on Moog parts.
Moog parts are easy to spot, the say Moog on them, ussually near the grease fitting.
I work for advance auto parts and we are going to carry moog soon. We are switching from TRW to moog and the change should be happening pretty soon as the company starts to focus on hard parts and quality rather then all the nonsense bullshit we have been focusing on in the past. Among others we are switching from bendix to wagner pads and we already stock borg warner sensors and relays instead of GP sorenson
Just installed the Moog ball joints yesterday that I got from O'reillys. I don't feel bad about spending the extra money for Moog parts. They look like a much higher quality part over the no-name brand I had. I'll be going through rockauto.com for the rest of the moog parts I need. I did like Advance Auto's ball-joint-install/remove-tool much more than the O'reilly's one.
Hey there. I have a 91 Firebird Trans Am GTA (WS6 package), bought some new Moog K6145T lower ball joints, and am having problems trying to remove the old ones, w/ a Ball Joint C-Clamp Press Tool ("OEM 27023") from Autozone. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/cat...Type=Accessory
The tool (with its 2 pressing adapters and receiving adapter) seems to be just slightly too small to fit around the old ball joints - which seem to be the same (diameter) size as the new Moog ones, except the old ones are a little taller (couple millimeters taller above the threads). I considered grinding down the top of the old ball joints to get the tool to fit, but based on your old post, I'm gonna try a remover tool from Advance Auto Parts instead, but thought I'd write, say thanks for your post, and see if you have any advice? Thanks!!!
P.S. I'm also putting the new balljoints in the freezer overnight "trick".
