damn it man your making me want to sell my spohn tq arm and tranny mount combo and go ahead and tubb another vehicle. id have a tubbed s10 and tubbed camaro. stop posting pics so i dont have to do this
the sad part is i already have a set of 15x14 wheels. and a set of brand new mt sportsman 31x18.5 tires and a set of sportsman pro 29x18.5. all thats missing is a ed quay back half kit and a rearend from him setup for his four link
Nice looking outfit you have there......... "to say the least" !!!
I have a couple of questions for you if you dont mind? I understand why you went with the aftermarket spindle assembly, "turning radius issues with a manual rack conversion", but what is the reason for the 2" lowering portion of the aftermarket spindle assemblys? Did you really want or need to lower the cars ride height or did you just have to accept it since that's the way the aftermarket spindle assemblys come while dealing with the turning radius issues? Secondly, did you go with a coilover set-up in the front? If so what brand of components did you select. Sorry for all of the questions, but I'm involved in a similar process with my 89 and I'm kinda stumped on what really is the best way for me to proceed.

Thanks a million, Bruce
I did want to lower ride height that is why I did go with drop spindles, most have gone with lowering springs, but the drop spindles keep the steering geometry.
I decided not to go with coil overs, I orginally wanted to, but the more I read I changed my mind, I just did not trust all that weight on the strut towers, so I went with a new pair of moog springs instead, tubular K-member and A-arms

So Matt, have you ordered your Ed Quay back half kit, or do you need me to post a couple more pictures, lol
looks great man, so far i just got the frame rails in mine. I got the s&w kit and its not extremely challenging like i thought it may be just time consuming. i hope to have it sitting back on the ground within the next month or so. i still need brakes, axles, and wheels/tires.
i deff want too. but for now i want to see how fast i can go on a 28x12.5x15 etstreet tire. i think the turbo setup should be fast with that and the good parts. but i will proably get bored just like i did with the s10 and do the edquay kit for the camaro. no doubt that is a great fitting frame. i do not like the cage thought. id proably make my own.
but if i keep seeing tubbe camaros im going to have to do it.
Damn, that is awesome looking! That shop definately does top notch work, it looks like they did a fantastic job with everything. That calls for the first LS9 swap!
Just 100% street, everytime I go to a drag strip I get hooked again. Looks like I will be using an all aluminium 572 ci, can you believe having all that cubic inch and weighting 100lbs less than the 305 it came with

lol. quote of the century.
lookin good.
id still like to see wider wheel openings in the rear.
like red 406's build, but thats just personal preference i guess.
ill give you fitty bucks for it.
thats all i got.
Fully intend to open wheel wells when the car is painted, I would rather have a body shop do those changes than a frame shop. Right now the tires I have on their don't rub and since they are not the pro's they don't grow. I have about 3/4 of an inch on both sides so their is no challenge.
This year is for motor and transmission, next year is for paint

Just changed wheels, put on a 7.5 x 28 on the front and 18 x 30 on the rear, and added the Edelbrock strut tower brace, what a difference, it totally tighted up the front end of the car. Also did the AC delete to prepare for the big block coming in the next couple of months
That is one beautiful car, you should be pleased.....have you ever gotten around to measuring the frame rail and 9" width?...some one asked a few posts ago and my inquiring mind would like to know also...if ya' could please

From the inside of the frame rails is 24" and the length of the 9" is 37"
Your diff is slightly narrower than mine. My housing is 40" and axle flange to axle flange is 45". I use 15 x 15 rims with 5.5" of backspacing and still have room to the frame rails that I could tuck the wheels in a little bit more with 6.5" of backspacing.

I know I can put a bigger wheel under there as well, when they were moving it around in the shop they had a 22 inch wide tire under their, don't know the offset on those shop rims

the seats in your Car..who made them?
im looking(paid for fri last) at a set sorta like them.. But Marked
BOMZ Racing. in white. the seats are red w/black inlay
yours look sorta the same.. but with out the Logo..(diff color)
but the same shape. from Hyper Auto Parts/Hyperpomance Auto
$360 with rails shipped.
wanted to ask if ther are the same.. or what place did you get them from.
huge rear tires, just freaking massive, and you say the little strut tower brace made a huge difference?
I put the edlebrock 3 pt brace and it made a huge difference, going into corners even with the rack and pinion and the wonder bar and the largest spoon sway bar I was still getiing a lot of body roll up front. The strut tower brace elimanted it completely. We have some curving roads, with one bad corner, that 30 mph corner I took at 70 miles a hour with no body roll whats so ever

These seats I bought from Jegs, Procar, seats were 124.00 each, but I am going to replace them with some Sparco's over the winter
so are you getting the sparcos because those seats just suck? Or whats the deal. I was interested in buying those...super cheap. Let me know what you think about them
