Re: Installation Pictures of Tunnel Mounted Torque arms
my problem is that the trans sits lower than the axle, and theres so much a a difference that it puts the u-joints past there limits. my only choice is to raise the rear, or raise the trans height, i plan on cutting off the D/S loop, seeing as it doesn't allow the 4th gen D/S to fit properly, and making a custom trans mount to raise the trans 1/2" or so
how come when i asked about the T/A hitting the tail shaft housing, UMI said that it doesn't happen, just like how they said that there TA keeps the trans at factory height? when it cleary doesn't, i used a measuring tape, and no it doesn't make the trans sit at factory height, and yes if you run a 4th gen D/S u might end up having it catch on the safety loop and chew the D/S up, ask me how i know
the angle of the linkage will make the rear want to push away from the car or pull towards it, depending on your lower control arm angle, it can help with lift and squat, i ask UMI this question aswell and never got any response as how to set it up, i'm not sure if they know
