Car won't go when wheels are cut sharp

I have a 90 RS. When I turn the wheels sharp either direction, the car tries to stop. When I try to turn around anywhere, the car struggles to go unless I turn the wheel in the other direction than I am going. What could this be?

have you done any brake upgrades? I though i read somewhere that the 1le upgrade, or the ls1 when done a certain way, the caliper hits the steering stop on the a-arm, thus applying the brake on that side?

No. Everything is still original up front (except brake pads). Car has 90,000 miles

This kind of happens to me, but only when my feet are off both pedals and i'm just rolling. It's because the wheels are pointed slightly different directions at full lock and are therefore trying to roll along two different axes and well we all know what happens when that happens.

I've never had a problem like this. You might want to check the steering components and have the front end alligned.

Re: Car won't go when wheels are cut sharp

Mine does that but nothing is stock.

Tubular k-member and a-arms means I don't have steering stops and can easily turn more than a stock steering system can do. Running 27.5" tall front tires and no steering stops means the tires actually hit the inner fenders when turning really sharp.

My center link is flipped over so I could drop the engine lower. I have no idea if this affects the Ackerman angles. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ackerma...ering_geometry

Lastly, I have very big slicks and a spool which makes turning difficult.
