Can anyone tell me a good parts list to start with as far as SFC go and torque arms. I tried looking through the search but I was just wandering what will be good start with. I didn't see a big kit of all so I want to come prepared when I go order these parts. Probably looking at bolt ons for now can weld them later.(just need some decent support with the new engine to last till i restore the body) Thanks, Jon

check out UMI performance, Spohn performance and BMR. They all sell subframe connectors and torque arms, some people prefer certain companies over the others, i personally like UMI.

I do not believe any of these guys sell bolt in SFC. You will have to use Alstons SFC, Topdown solutions (TDS) sells them, or use the "jegster" bolt in ones that Jegs sells.

pretty sure hotchkins sells a suspension hit, shocks/springs/SFC/LCA etc but not a tq arm.

its all about price and preference. UMI has nice stuff, BMR does too. but i also like jegs. i pic with whats gona fit my needs as far as performance and price.
i mix match. i have UMI adj panhard rod, and lower control arm relocation brackets. i have handmade LCAs and SFC and soon a strut tower brace, but i have a jegster tq arm and TDS wonderbar.

I personnally bought most all my components from Spohn. I have their panhard bar, lca`s and relocation brackets, torque arm, driveshaft, driveshaft loop, subframe connectors and wonderbar.

I have heard alot of good things about UMI, TDS, and BMR. As previously mentioned its a matter of personal preference and pricing.

My method of thinking is go with manufacturers that work primarily with 3rd or 4th gens. J&M (Hotpart.com), Spohn, and UMI are good. I wish Hotpart was around when I did my rear suspension. I say go with weld in SFCs. Too much of a chance of play/movement with bolt ins IMO.

weld in subframes are best but better ones are the bolt ins and then u get them welded in. same thing for the bolt in LCA relocation brackets. bolt in SFC and relocation LCA brackets are usually stronger and the regular weld ins physically since they have to spead the load over a wider area... but u just bolt them in and get them welded and theyre stronger... no play and no bolt elongation from twisting stress.

oh also forgot i have a jegster drive shaft saftey loop... add that too my list

jegster saftel loop is cleaner than the LAKEWOOD and is fully welded and designed for our cars. cheap too but it cant be taken apart to lower drivshaft like the lakewood since its all welded together... u would have to unbolt it from the floor pan. but i prob wont do that much so it doesnt bother me. buts its a very clean peice which is why i got it.

same goes for the TDS wonderbar. i dont have anyprobs with having to take it off to get my dual fans out. unlike sum other brands. they also look alil beefer the spohn or maybe he BMR piece IMO. also has 3 mounting holes compared to 2.

went with jegster tq arm bc i didnt want a tranny mounted arm. spohn/bmr have nice peices but are $$ i got mine used for cheap and its shorter than the BMR/spohn peices and gives me max clearance for my dual 3" exhaust.

weigh ur options and see wat fits best for u, price, preference, and what will work overall for ur goals/future mods etc

I have all UMI stuff except I have the Alston (TDS) SFCs that are welded on. My UMI trq arm is a cross member mounted with a built in drive shaft loop.

Okey can you give me a basic list of a good start to be safe. Like list them in improtance then i can buy like the top then work my way down the list.

get subframe connectors first, and have them welded in.

then make sure you have good tires and shocks.

then you can start with he rest, i would get the LCA's and the pahard, then a torque arm.

Edit: My opinion about a torque arm is this, if your making less than 350 horse, the stocker is fine, unless you want to change your pinion angle.

ok i have shocks and struts theyre stock but i just want a strong street car/ weekend warrior no plans on track runs. and I'll order sub frame connectors first but my car is still stock at least i havnt touched the height.

A 25 year old car will have "settled". Trust me, your car is not at stock ride height anymore, mine is down atleast .75-1.0 inch.
