I am shopping around for the right look in a tire for my Jamaica Yellow 92 TA.
Having a real hard time deciding because I have not seen many of the available tires on an actual wheel and car.
Please post pics of your cars and the wheels/tires in a 16" size. Especially interested if anyone has the Firestone Wide ovals or General Exclaim UHP. Or any brand at all! Been looking for weeks and just cannot decide.
Thanks a alot.
Mark

What kind of pics are you looking for..........tread design.....how wide they look when mounted.....fender gap........what they look like for the side. If you could explain what you are trying to accomplish I could probably get you some pics.
Mostly looking for the sidewall design and the tread design. Wanna make sure that the section width and the tread width looks good and bow out a bit, unlike the BFG KDWs that look very skinny for a 245, almost like a 235.
A sidewall shot and a front quarter shot would be good, thanks a lot.
BTW what kind of tires do you have?
These are 245/50R16 Bridgestone G009s. Look nice for an all season 245, IMO
Although, that's probably not very helpful to you... they're discontinued but I remember this after I'd made the post...

I can probably get you some pics tomorrow. I'm running KUMHO ECSTA AST 245/50HR-16's. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e1=yes&place=0
I got them because they were inexpensive as well as having a fairly high treadwear number.

Thanks, but I actually have those on the car right now from when I bought the car and I'm getting rid of them. Really looking for someone with a Wide Oval?!!

Why are you set on the Wide Ovals? I've done alot digging for my next set of tires, and I don't recall them coming up...other than my local Firestone dealer.

I am not set at all, that is the problem. The only 2 currently produced tires that I am considering are the Wide Ovals and the General Exclaim UHP. I do not like the way all the other tires look. The WideOvals come righ up on Tirerack.
Oh. I see. I don't really pay much attention to the look of the tires as much as I do the performance for the price. I don't think the Sumitomo HTR Z III is a bad looking tire, though. It's what I'm going with.

RockJay, what tires are those? That's the whole point of this thread! Kumhos?

I don't think it's a problem, but it doesn't make sense to me- less traction on the front, you can't rotate the tires (and look good), and you're still running stock width on the back...
