GTA rims on a Camaro?

I haven't seen this around very much...ok not at all, am I the only guy with GTA rims on a Camaro? They were on it when I bought the car and it turned out that just by chance my brothers buddy had the GTA that the rims were from and he wanted them again, so i was going to trade him for a set of wicked aluminum 5 slots, but it never happened, so I kept them on the car....it doesnt look bad, i think anyway.......soo tell me what you think, and if you can, post pics or links of other camaros with them, i'd just like to see another one somewhere haha..thanks....

It's not common, but I've seen it on a few. They are a very light wheel compared to other stock GM 16x8s. I'd hold on to them. Now, wash that car! haha

Re: GTA rims on a Camaro?

I'd like to get a set of them to paint black with a polished lip for my car. Would be nice, methinks.

Re: GTA rims on a Camaro?

my brothers buddy who had the rims before had them powdercoated i think it was 6 years ago? and whoever did the powdercoating did a hel of a job. i say this because one day i was going down a dirt road after leaving my brothers and was run off the road by a school bus doing at least 45 to 50 on a road thats not really wide enough for a car and a schoolbus to cross paths...anyway, i had two options, the ditch on the side of the road, or the front of a blue-bird bus full of kids, i chose the ditch.....the outcome wasnt as bad as i thought it would be, it ripped off my passenger side rear quarter GFX and banged it up a little bit, but its just cosmetic nothing bad, and i looked at the rear passenger rim and it was slammed up against what had to have been the biggest damn stone in this ditch, after having my brother come pull my car out, i found that the powdercoating on the rim wasnt chipped, cracked, split, nothing like that, so im impressed with whomever did it

Re: GTA rims on a Camaro?

Here's my car, Ive been rocking these wheels for awhile now. They weigh 16.2 lbs apiece. I've changed a few things on the car since I took these but here's an Idea.

Re: GTA rims on a Camaro?

Very common thing on Autocross Camaros. For that matter, the FACTORY teams put crosslace wheels on their Camaros for road racing.

My wife did it to her autocross car in 02/03......She has the laces painted yellow to match her stripes.
