OK so the spring compressors I rented came broken. Awesome, another thing to hold be back. Im going to drop the k member with the c-arms and springs still in it. Can someone post pictures or a diagram(draw one up on paint?), showing what bolts I need to unbolt to drop the K member out. I don't want to end up unbolting the C-arm or something and have the spring shoot out...

Thanks guys,
-Andrew

Re: //|Droping K member|\\

first of, its the a-arms not the c-arms.

If you have eyes, you cant mistake the a-arm bolts for the k-member mounting bolts.

There are 6, IIRC bolts holding the k-member to the car, the are all going straight up.
The A-arm bolts are bolted to the a-arms and are horizontal.

There is a brake lines bolted to the topside of the k-member. Be sure to unbolt it before you try to remove it.

You have to remove the springs, The struts hold the a-arms and springs together. If you remove the struts, the spring will push the a-arm down, rather quickly if its not supported, and may blow out.

You might consider some serious homework before you begin--that or a serious medical bill may be coming your way.

Sorry for the warning. I'm sure you'll be fine on your own. Good luck.

Oh, you might consider a manual.

its easy i jus did mine las week....but im a pro at it....even so...even for a novice....undo brake lines.....all little small things attached.....car on jack stands, put a jack under the a arm and undo the strut bolt on top...slowly release the jack.....done.....undo 3 bolts on each side of the k member and oull it out.....and do get a manual it works wonders....and dont kill yourself.
