I have a 98 that I am used to swapping wheels on and know what fits. I was under the impression that the bolt pattern is the same for my 98 and my 89s. I have a set of draglites, 15x8 with 4.5bs that are mounted on my 98 and I want to use them on my 89s. I need to know why when I try to blot them up, they won't. They will go on the studs, and I have shank lug nuts, and they won't bolt all the way down. I want to just but another set of pro stars or draglites so I can have a set for both, and need to know what to get from summit. Also, I am looking at the summit style wheels, can any one help out a newb? Thanks.

Also, I would like to switch on my stock 98 wheels every now and then. I found an adapter since it isn't a driect fit, but it is expensive. This is it from Hawks....http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/ca...athirdgen.aspx
Anybody know another solution? Or anything cheaper?
Almost like the shank is too long and is hitting the drum before the outer part is catching the wheel. They are bolted down completely but the wheel can still shake and is loose. Not alot, but enough to where it isn't safe. I got the lug nuts summit said goes for the wheels and bought the wheels used. If I buy a new set that hasn't been worked down but the ring that comes with shank lug nuts, then maybe they will work. I will prob just go with summit stars or the newer summit designs, but I need to know they will work.
Yeah, I have just one set of lug nuts. It may be that the wheel mounting part is worn down from previous use as it is a little loose on my 98, just not near as much as my 89. So, if I ordered a summit wheel, 15.8 4.5bs, they will fit just fine with the right lug nuts. They are not shank style wheels, and I need to know they will work before I order.
I have seen a third gen with pro stars. What mods do you need for that? I am going to get some washers tomorrow to space it out a little and see if that fixes it.
Ok thanks. I want to run the 8" in back, and 3.5" or 4" up front. I need to know what backspace or offset to look for for the fronts. That is if I run drag style wheels.
