going from stock suspension to drag sus. L@@K

hey there! im new to the site and its awsome. Not new to cars tho, ive had my 89 trans am for 2 years and i restored it. Ive been doing alot of research and homework. I basically would like to turn my suspension into something that is good for drag racing. not worried about the street as much, this is my hobby not my DD.

Righ now I have a sbc 350, t56, 3.73s, MT DR, KyB gtr2 (or somethin like that) and an adjustable torque arm @ -2*. best of 13.3 @ 102mph with 1.9xx 60ft

From the stuff ive learned by searchin it seems like i will go with:

lakewood 90/10s front
weld on SFCs
rear LCA
LCARBs
Panhad bar
v6 firebird springs all around
airbags
front sway bar removed

I only have two question, i see alot of people are using adjustable rear shocks and alot of other people are using lakewood 50/50s.
What would be better for a t56 considering i cant really preload the suspension like with an automatic.

adjustable shocks? or 50/50s or 70/30s??

and what is the back of my car supposed to do when i launch? squat? stay the same height or lift up?

My goal for now is to get 1.7 60ft time which is what i used to get with my 700r4.

I will replace my DR with bias ply in the future.

Thanks in advance

Gonza.

go with adjustable, the more adjustment the better. It will help fine tune the rear

Go with summit adjustables. Super cheap and just as much quality.

ive seen alot of people running the lakewood 50/50 but they had automatics, with a manual car you want weight transfer to happen asap.

I think a properly setup rear suspension will make your body like lift up when launching.

I'm sure with adjustable shocks you can always set them as the 50/50s but will give you more room for tunning.

strange 10 ways for a fox body mustang would be a good option, and give you a lot more flexibility than a standard 3 way. but again the summits are cheap/work well.
