Can anybody please help me find a rag joint on summitracing, I keep seeing the ones that tells the diameter and splinebut I do not know the exact dia and spline of the stock steering box rag joint......
Steering box is 3/4" and I'm pretty sure it's 36 spline. The lower steering shaft is a slip joint shaft. I'm pretty sure it's 3/4" DD (Double D). The upper shaft that goes through the firewall is 1" DD.
What does changing the rag joint have to do with installing a BBC? With the 1-7/8" tube Hooker Headers, I had no problems with the steering shaft. When I went to 2-1/4" primary tube headers, I had to change a bunch of things to get a steering shaft to work. I relocated the shaft through the firewall up and outward slightly and replaced the rag joint and upper coupler with U-joints from an Astro van.

It is definetly the one that I should not buy... I already buy that joint, It is not suitable for our steering boxes, you can see the difference with the ones that I sent...
The old one does not look like this one either... It is much more look like the ones in my links. But I still do not know which one is the correct one...
Now that I look closer at the pic of the one I posted, it looks like the 3/4" DD end is male, is this correct?
I don't see one at Summit that would be a direct bolt-in, other than a u-joint to replace the rag joint, such as the one in the second link I posted in my OP.
