89 IROC Springs vs 85 Z28 spring

I don't see a sticky and havn't found anything in the search that will help.

I'm wondering what advantages I will get if I switch my stock coils out for IROC coils.

I've basically gotten the rest of the suspension out from this IROC at the junkyard. I just haven't gotten the spring yet.

I think it will lower my car a half inch or so but I'm wondering if the spring rate will be differnent/stiffer.

Thanks for the help.

Re: 89 IROC Springs vs 85 Z28 spring

Spring rates P/N's for IROC's or any other Camaro models were computor generated for what options were installed on that car. So they can vary.
