solid motor mount help

I installed a set of jegster solid motor mounts while I had mey new engine built and now I am trying to set the bad boy in and the mounts wont align.

I can get a bolt through one side no problem but then the other side is a good inch off.

Is it possible that I am using the wrong bolt holes on the frame pads? I used the same holes the stock mounts used.

Re: solid motor mount help

Will solid engine mounts make the motor sit lower in the car? They hard to install?

Re: solid motor mount help

Nope the are the same so it shouldnt matter what side they are on.

I dug into this some more and compared the stock mounts that came off the car and they semm to have worn down to make the distance between the engine and chassis smaller. I then went to Autozone and compared a new stock mount with the engine mounts, and when I bolted them together they distance between them were identical to the new solid mounts.

So now it seems like I just need to do some more coaxing to get them to fit...................... or my K-member is bent and sandwiching the two mounts together. This is becoming a major pain in the rump.

Re: solid motor mount help

Well I had Jegs send me another set of mounts and come to find out that there are a drivers and passenger side for these cars. My first set contained a set of two drivers side, which prevented the mounts from aligning
