Re: ANY body install Spohn's Front K frame and coil overs?

Since no one has chimed in yet ill try and help. Our kit is similar but what were some specific questions you had about the install? If the engine is out of the car it will make it a lot easier.

Basically just get the car on jackstands so the front end is suspended with a good amount of room under it. Take your time and label any items that are not familiar so you can put everything back together without the extra leftover fasteners lol. It is a pretty straight forward install, take it out and put the new one in the same way.

Re: ANY body install Spohn's Front K frame and coil overs?

ill chime in as well i went with a full set up from spohn front and rear and have an lsx swap. its no doubt one of the best handling cars iv ever had( iv owned 2 c5's def was better than the base but i dont know about the z ) and there rear set up makes the car just stick to the road especially hittin hard out of the corners i love it.

Re: ANY body install Spohn's Front K frame and coil overs?

The hard part about the coil over kit for me was the thrust bearings and making sure that they stayed in place when I raised the srping into place.

One thing that I wish that I'd thought of when I orignally installed it, was to put anti-seize on the bearings. After 3.5 years now they kinda got rusty and needed to be replaced. Which is no big deal.

As for the k--memeber install, the hard part was just supporting the engine. I did that with a block of wood under the ballancer. Tho I don't recomend that and rather have used a engine hoist. Eh, when ya don't have a full shop at your disposal when I installed. I worked with what I had.

But the install for both is pretty straight forward.

Umm nothing at all needs to be cut to install the Spohn coilover kit. It is 100% bolt on installation.
