Decent Suspension

I have a 91' Camaro that I would like to build to about 330 hp or so. I like to start with the suspension of a car before I do anything else. What are the bare necessities to make this car's suspension capable of handling this power. I am building it only to be a street/strip type of car and nothing more. Below is what I have done suspension wise so far.

KYB Performance Shocks and Struts
GM Performance Bushings
Eagle GT Rear Tires
Firehawk Front Tires
30 lbs weight reduction in front and 15 in back

Re: Decent Suspension

Hopefully you didnt put the stock springs back on along with the shocks and struts?

Welcome to TGO. Spend some time searching the suspension topics and threads. This subject / topic has been covered many times and eveyone has their own receipe for their car and pocket book. Also check out the sponsers on this site for aftermarket suspension mod offerings.

Good luck

Re: Decent Suspension

yeah i did leave the springs on. thatll be the next thing i change. and yeah i did look around at other threads but all of them were about building the ultimate suspension. which i don't really need. I just need something capable of power so i dont twist my frame or anything like that. Or have all my power absorbed into the suspension rather than the pavement.

Subframe conectors (welded on), rear LCA's and pandhard bar (tube type for both). This will help with putting power to the pavement.
