front end creaking

my front end creaks really bad.. almost sounds like its grinding actually.. the only time i notice it is when im doing low-speed turning, i believe.. havnt heard it any other time than that.. the guy i bought it from said the sway bar might need to be tightened.. could that be the problem? or anyone have any other suggestions? thanks in advance!

What you're describing sounds like a common problem with 3rdgens. Does it generally only occur in a tight low-speed turn (like when parking)? I fixed the same problem with two shots of the grease gun. Check out my post in this thread: http://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/show...teering+crunch

Hope that helps

Sounds to me like it could also be cracks in the frame at the steering box mounting location. Another common 3rdgen problem.

Could also be the bearings at the top of the stud tower.
