I was looking into stiffning the frame even more with the use of a cage. I like the fact that Kenny Brown's doesn't interfere with the back passenger seats. I had them send me some pictures of the cage installed. It looks pretty good, all the tubing is nicley routed out of the way, the finished product is nice and clean looking. The main thing I like about it is it doesn't interfere with anything, I'm not concerned with roll over protection just better handling. I just want to know if anyone else has this installed in there ride, and what sort of comments do you have on it?

I know I'm bringing this topic WAY back from the dead, but I'm curious of the answer. As you can see, I've done the "search" thing. Anyway, anyone running one of Kenny Brown's cages? How is the stiffness/ride of the car now? How is the interior, not obstucted, or kind of? Would you buy over again, is it worth it?

I to like the idea of it, however, I am concerned with its lack of being NHRA Legal.

I could not see putting a cage in my car that would not pass tech.

I'm personally thinking more of a stiffening device. How well it works, and how obstructive, etc.

Remeber, if you put even the main hoop in a car, even without a cross bar, it will not be safe for passangers in the rear. It puts their head in very close proximity to the bars. IMHO, using SFC's are the way to go, unless you plan to run the proper saftey equipment for a real rollbar/cage. I would also not put anything like a street cage in the car, unless it is NHRA/IHRA/SCCA/NASA/FIA approved, and is done properly to suite the rules for whatever use your car will be doing.

Also, as a stiffening device, the crossbar's do the most, the main hoop is not inharently good at making the chassis ridgid, that is what the cross bars do for the cage.
