Injectors not squirting during startup...

What would cause the injectors to not squirt while I'm cranking the engine over? If I pour gas in to "prime" it, it fires right up and the injectors start squirting. This is for my friend's TBI car. We can't figure it out If I don't prime it, it doesn't start obviously. Any ideas?

Either the fuel pump isn't running or the VATS system is disabling the fuel pump if the key is not making the proper contacts in the steering column.

The relay is good and the fuel pump is working. I pulled off the fuel filter and turned the key to "acc" and fuel shot outta the line. The fuel pump seems to be working good.

Most likely VATS problem then.

We fixed it today. I noticed the dome light went out so I replaced the fuse for it. After I replaced the fuse the car started right up. Who would guess the courtesy light fuse would have anything to do with firing the injectors during startup? It was cool to have an easy fix for once tho
